The Rapadalen valley has been shaped by a glacier, who has cut it's way through the mountains.

The Rapadalen valley is terminated at the lake Laitaure, over which we had to row a boat to get to Aktse mountain hut.
The steep cliff to the right in the picture - Skierffe - is also shown on the previous picture.

The view from Aktse, over the lake Laitaure, at 4.18 AM.

In the valleys lush forrests grow.

We are approaching Saltoluokta.
Kierkev (Lulep Gierkav, 1139 m) rise it's mighty body at the lake Langas and far away you discern the sill - across the valley - that make the Stora Sjöfallet falls.

Going downhill towards Saltoluokta, the valley of the lake Langas makes a magnificent scenery.

Having arrived in Saltoluokta, the beauty of the scenery has not diminished.

A beer is very nice, when you have reached your goal.
Several times during the hike, we had come across each other and now we could have a last chat.

Saltoluokta mountain lodge has old cosy rooms, very nice cooking and a service-mindedness like a very good pension.

The view of Sarek as seen from Kierkev. We made a daytrip from Saltoluokta to the top of Kierkev. It was cold but beautiful.

Contrasts; we felt a bit odd when we made a touchdown at Arlanda airport, on our way home.
