A similar scenery can't be seen just anywhere. The bottom of the valley is a delta creating a colourful mosaic of little woods, scrubs, meadows, swamps, clumps of reeds and open water surfaces.
This scenery is maybe more appreciated by the experienced mountain hiker, than one who isn't familiar with it.


A "gate" that has been created by an glacier. Through the opening of the gate we look into the fantastic landscape of the Rapadalen valley.


The Rapadalen valley is terminated at the lake Laitaure, over which we had to row a boat to get to Aktse mountain hut.
The steep cliff to the right in the picture - Skierffe - is also shown on the previous picture.

In the valleys lush forrests grow.
